The stuffing and mashed potatoes and soup were O.K. This restaurant really got busy after I came in and many people are Senior Citizens.
My Baked Chicken tasted ''Left Over'' NOT baked fresh on Sunday. About my chicken it was rather dry and I am not sure what day it was baked, but I do not believe it was today Sunday. I say (and suggest ) re-purposed furniture because this restaurant has lots of elderly people on ''fixed incomes'' and to KEEP their current prices would save the current and add new customers.
They need new carpeting/flooring and maybe some new (or re-purposed chairs/tables and booths from another restaurant that have gone out of business). I REALLY Like Supper Clubs but this restaurant could use some updating. The place ''looks like a Wisconsin Supper Club''. Back out to the bar area this time I was approached by a Hostess and seated. Lots of bleach being used in there and the sink counter tops were all worn off on the Formica (no shine left to them they were so worn). I had to wait for someone to come and seat me so I headed to the bathroom first. The place wasn't busy except a group at the bar. They still have the special for $8.95 it comes with Baked chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes / gravy and. I called to see if they still had their Sunday AUCE " Baked Chicken Special". I have not been to this restaurant for a long long time. If you live the neighborhood I can see going here for drinks and maybe a fried appetizer, but no way would I make this place a destination to go out of the way for. Prices are good, food is OK to almost bad, drinks are good. I must say they pour a good cocktail, so if want whiskey, a mixed drink, etc you will like the drinks here. The ravioli was OK, but the red sauce is very average.

The Fried shrimp was good so I know they know how to fry something. THEN baked with cheese and red sauce, so none of that happened) (chicken parm should be sliced thin breast, pounded, dredged, covered in crumbs and fried. A baked dry chicken breast with melted cheese covered in red sauce. The Chicken parm was one the worst I have tried. Each salad has exactly two cherry tomatoes and one slice of cucumber topped with. The salad that came with dinner was chopped iceberg. The tables and chairs look like they are from a 60's diner. You'll never get another dime out of me! Moreĭécor is old and outdated. Sorry Fireside, there are just too many places looking for my dining dollars. Had I had a penny, that would have been it. Now waiting almost 15 minutes and being ignored, I picked up my money off the bar, and can say I left no tip. Finally caught the eye of one, and motioned I was ready for another drink. Waited patiently while the 2 woman were discussing who knows what. After finishing my drink, slid the empty glass towards the edge of the bar, signaling I was ready for another. Now I'm no expert, but when I watch a bartender short pour me with a 2 second booze pour, I'm not excited. Sat at the bar, and after several minutes was finally acknowledged by one of the bartenders. when we returned, they have a couple new bartenders(I use the term loosely). Always stop at the bar for a couple of cocktails before dinner. Drinks are reasonable, and service can be so so. Have been coming here for dinner off and on for years.
